Why I’m pausing channeling — (temporarily / permanently?)
I feel like I owe my community an explanation, and it goes much deeper than what I can share in a single Instagram post.
Below, I’m going to be very REAL, and share the positives & negative experiences I’ve had as a professional channeler for over 6 years — as well as the reasons I’m taking a pause.
Reason #1 - A New Chapter
Channeling is a beautiful practice. It connects you to higher information, and you do feel a spiritual “high” during and after sessions. However, I’m crystal clear that I’m moving into a new chapter of my life, and I want to become a mother. This is something I’ve always desired, and I’m reaching full readiness for this phase.
Channeling has taken an intense toll on my body, causing tiredness and even sickness at times. For example, after a 1:1 channeling session, my HRV will rise considerably and I’ll feel tightness in my chest.
After channeling for groups, I’m energetically “out” for 3-5 days. This manifests as congestion, a sore throat, tightness in my chest, and extreme levels of tiredness. Honestly, I would feel like I’d been hit by a bus.
None of this is conducive to motherhood - let’s be serious! You already don’t get enough sleep as a new mom… let alone as a channeling mom! 🤣
Despite doing years of cleansing and healing, I’ve discovered this intensity is difficult to avoid. I’m at a point in my life where I care about being a mom more than being a channeler. A pause is necessary.
Reason #2 - My Soul Contract Feels Complete
I believe I had an extensive “soul contract” with channeling. I know I was the vessel / portal to bring a lot of “light messages” to the earth. This was healing for me and my clients, and I’m grateful I was able to fulfill this role. I also tend to believe it cleansed a lot of my karma from previous lifetimes.
Over the last 1-2 years, however, I received multiple “pings” about stopping channeling entirely. I brushed them aside, and sometimes closed my sessions for a few months at a time. But now, I truly feel that my soul contract with channeling is complete.
I’m not sure if it’ll be complete FOREVER… but there is a sense of finality I feel that I’ve never experienced before. I’m at total peace with this! All good things come to an end. Again, this is where willingness and surrender to God plays a huge role.
Reason #3 - Jesus Came to Me
This one has the potential to sound strangest upon first glance. But I DID have a miraculous healing encounter with Jesus. It cleared my energy, removed all my tiredness, and I gained new clarity on life. The peace it brought me was so immense that any fear I held was gone immediately.
I want to nurture this relationship now — not from a religious standpoint, but from a personal one.
The honest truth is, channeling introduces many perspectives and voices in your life. This is something I have loved and cherished, but I’m at a place where I actually really appreciate quiet and peace. Jesus is giving me that, and I’m so grateful.
Also, as strange as it may sound, I feel the need to thank Him. Jesus cleared up all of my tiredness (something I had struggled with for over 6 years). The least I can do is honor his messages, lean in, and listen.
Reason #4 - I Don’t Have All the Answers
Over the years, I’ve noticed that people think I have all the answers simply because I can channel higher-level beings. This is so far from the truth 😉
I’ve received emails and texts about ALL types of topics, with clients checking if they should move forward with the most intimate personal decisions. I was happy to help “field” these questions for a period of time — but ultimately, I believe that individuals have their own sovereignty and power.
I want to empower people — not be a middle man. Also, I honestly DON’T know the “best thing” to do in every situation. Closing channeling also ends a level of co-dependency that people unconsciously create with their channeler. This is healthy for everyone involved.
Reason #5 - You Are Your Own Channeler
I firmly believe that everyone is their own channeler. You don’t actually need a “go-between” to receive messages. In fact, it can be very disempowering to believe that you do.
I’m much more interested in helping others cultivate their intuition and find answers themselves. “If you teach a man to fish, he will eat every day for the rest of his life” — THIS is what I care about most.
Reason #6 - Our Planet is at a New Phase
I believe there was a period of time where there wasn’t enough light, love, and consciousness on earth. Well, that has changed! The consciousness on the planet is much higher now than ever before. 😊
For this reason, I don’t think we need people to channel messages from the higher realms constantly. We’re moving into a new phase, where embodiment, action, and true lived experience is far more important.
This is like moving from a “conceptual phase” to an “implementation phase”. We know WHAT we need to do — now we need to go out into the world and make it happen.
At the same time, I’ve noticed that many of my clients are ready to share their intuitive gifts more formally. This is a “let’s pass the torch!” moment for me. It truly makes me so happy. We’re all shifting our roles, and it’s for a reason.
Reason #7 - Intuition Doesn’t End, Even When Channeling Does
Channeling is a practice and means of “higher communication”. Intuition is also a real, inherent gift. I’m personally so excited to listen to my own intuition regularly again (and use it for my own life — something that has admittedly taken the back burner while channeling so much for clients).
I’m also excited to use my intuition in my coaching and healing sessions. I KNOW how intuitive I am — there’s no need to define it with a label.
Nothing “permanently” ends; it simply changes form. This is where I am currently, and the peace I have in my heart is immense. I’m so grateful to be making these transitions, and I hope to always empower others to follow their own inner knowing.
